Rafting in Uganda
Wild on the Nile in Uganda
Rafting or white water rafting is the challenging recreational outdoor activity of using an inflatable raft to navigate a river or other bodies of water. This is usually done on white water or different degrees of rough water, in order to thrill and excite the raft passengers. The adventure of rafting is enough of a draw, but the scenery on this trip is also worth mentioning. The entire voyage downriver, rafters are treated to lush Ugandan scenery and flocks of birds in their pristine habitat. Are you prepared to challenge the Nile in a two man raft? If you prefer to spend more of your time out of the raft that in it, then this is the trip for you.
Want the thrills without the spills?
Not all rapids are created equal, many rivers offer a rafting experience that is ideal for families and children and the Nile is no exception. Because of the unique geology of the river with its great expanse and many islands, a high adventure raft trip can put in alongside a milder family trip.
Rafting combines the very best elements of a great family day out: excitement, adventure, scenery and great food. Rafting can also be a multi-generational trip. As many as three generations (grandparents, parents and children) have safely paddled down the Nile together!
