15 Days safari in Kenya and mountain gorilla trekking in Uganda starts with arrival in Kigali International airport. On this tour, you will visit the genocide memorial site of Kigali and drive to Volcanoes national park for overnight.
You will track golden monkeys and gorilla trekking in Bwindi national park. You will later drive back to Kigali for a flight to Nairobi for an amazing wildlife safari in Masai Mara national park, Amboseli and lake Nakuru in Kenya.

DETAILED ITENERARY

Day 1: Arrival at Kigali and Transfer to Volcanoes National park
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will meet our representative/guideand will transfer you to Volcanoes national park the home of Gorillas in Rwanda and golden monkeys. This is a 2 to 3 hours driver from Kigali city to Musanze province. Drive to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight at Sabyinyo silverback lodge (luxury), Le Bambou Gorilla lodge (Midrange), Hotel Muhabura (budget).

Day 2: Golden Monkey tracking – Visit Ibyiwacu cultural village
After your morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing about tracking the Golden monkeys from the park warden. This activity may take between 2 to 5 hours searching for the golden monkeys depending on their movement. Unlike other monkeys, the golden monkeys are shy and very rare only found here in the Virunga Mountains in Rwanda and some in Uganda’s Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. You will spend 1 full hour with them as you take time studying them and taking pictures. After this fascinating activity return to the base and meet your driver to connect to your lodge for lunch. After lunch you will take a cultural walk to Iby’iwachu cultural Village that aims at improving the lives of reformed poachers by providing conservation incentives, supporting community enterprise development and livelihood based projects. Enjoy the Rwanda’s backgrounds including the Intore dance, traditional ceremonies in a guided community walk. Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight at Five Volcanoes Lodge (Luxury), Le Bambou Lodge (Midrange), Muhabura Hotel (Budget).

Day 3: Cross into Uganda to Lake Bunyonyi for Canoeing – Later transfer to Bwindi National park 
After morning breakfast you will connect to Uganda to Lake Bunyonyi – one of the most beautiful lakes in Uganda with so much bird species. This place is called an island of birds where you will have 3 hour canoeing and relaxing while visiting different islands of lake Bunyonyi. In the afternoon to Bwindi impenetrable forest through either Chanika or Gatuna boarder for Gorilla tracking the following day. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma community camp/Kitandara camp/Gorilla resort/Mahogany springs.

Day 4: Gorilla tracking and community walk in Bwindi
After your early breakfast early morning, leave the lodge with packed lunch and report to the park headquarters for briefing at 7:00am on the guidelines for gorilla trekking. Start on this fascinating activity of tracking mountain gorillas, you will be guided by an experienced and knowledgeable park ranger guide who will take you to see these gentle giants. How long it takes to track gorillas is determined by the movement and location of the gorillas and this may take 2 to 8 hours including one hour of full encounter face to face with the Gorillas. Refresh at the lodge and later in the evening take a community walk to engage and see how people around the forest especially the pygmies people. Have dinner and Overnight at Buhoma community camp/Kitandara camp/Gorilla resort/Mahogany springs.\

Day 5: Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will have your breakfast early in the morning and setoff for queen Elizabeth National park through Ishasha sector, enjoy the beautiful scenery of Kigezi hills and terraces as you drive through the country side to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will arrive in lunch hours and have your lunch in the park. Later on continue through the Ishasha sector viewing several animals like the Uganda Kob, Buffaloes and giraffes among others. Relax at lodge for dinner and overnight at Ihamba forest Lodge.

Day 6: Morning game drive, boat cruise along Kazinga Channel
After morning breakfast, you will set off for a morning game drive where you willadmire herds of buffalo, elephants, lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, giraffes, impalas and many other animals with clear views. After lunch, you will embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel a natural channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. On the cruise, you will see great numbers of wildlife including elephants, crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes and many birds like eagles, kingfishers, eaglets converging at the channel. You will then be driven back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Ihamba forest Lodge.

Day 7: Transfer to Kibale for chimpanzee tracking in the afternoon and visit Bigodi swamp
After breakfast you will head to head off to Kibale national park on a two hours drive. You will arrive in time for lunch there after set off to Kibale park offices for briefing about chimpanzee tracking and start off with the afternoon chimpanzee tracking which last 2 – 4 hours watching the chimpanzees up-close.

On return, you will have a chance to visit the Bigodi eco swamp and  later have dinner and overnight at. Chimpanzee Guest for budget, Chimpanzee Guest house / Kibale forest camp for midrange and Turacco treetops for luxury

Day 8: Drive to Kampala via Ishasha to Entebbe for your flight to Nairobi
After breakfast, transfer to Kampala via the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The south is called Ishasha, which is home to the well-known tree-climbing lions. As you drive, you will see more game. Also, there are large herds of elephants, topi and antelopes in large numbers. You will arrive in Mbarara in time for lunch and a stop-over at the Equator for memorable pictures and proceed to Entebbe for your flight to Kenya where you will be picked at the airport by our local guide there to your hotel for overnight stay at Nairobi Hilton Garden inn Hotel.

Day 9: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Our company tour guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Nairobi to start off your drive to Amboseli National Park arriving the park in time for lunch at the lodge. Situated 4 hours and half drive from Nairobi, Amboseli national Park is popular for its breath-taking views of Kilimanjaro mountains. The is also home to a large population of elephants, leopard, Wild dogs, Buffalo, Cheetah, Giraffe, Crocodile, Zebra, Lion, and 420 bird species of birds among others you will be seeing on your game drive. You will have an evening game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at

Day 10: Full day game viewing Amboseli National Park
Today you will spend the day out game viewing in Amboseli National Park with parked lunch which you will have in the park. Later return back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Transfer from Amboseli to Lake Nakuru National Park
Today you will set off early after breakfast at your hotel by 6:30am and head off for Lake Nakuru National Park. Situated within the southern part of the Kenyan rift valley, Lake Nakuru is a beautiful soda lake protected within Nakuru national park. Upon arrival, you will check into your accommodation for lunch and later head-out for a game drive in the park. The Park is popular for its Flamingos and other beautiful bird species.  Other wildlife to see in the park include; species of white and black rhino, hippos, waterbuck, zebras and many others.

Day 12: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara Game Reserve
Wakeup to a beautiful breakfast and be ready to depart by 7.30 am for Masai Mara Game Reserve, stopping for a visit at a local Masai Village, to arrive in time for lunch at your accommodation for check in. After lunch for this afternoon, you will head-out for an exciting game drive in the Masai Mara national park, popular for its open plains, excellent game sightings and the wildebeest migration which happens in the months of July through October.  You will return to your accommodation later for dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Maasai Mara game reserve
Full day will be spent exploring Masai mara reserve watching the big 5 like lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeests, zebras, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, leopard, all kinds of antelopes and elephant. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Leisure Tented camp.

Day 14: Full day safari in Masai Mara  – Hot air baloon safari is optional
Start your morning with a Hot air balloon safari in Masai Mara game reserve. There’s nothing greater than launching at sunrise and floating with absolute comfort in a hot air balloon over the Masai Mara Game reserve. Hot air balloon flights in Kenya’s famous Masai Mara National Reserve give you an opportunity to view scores of wildlife including lions, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles and the great migration of the wildebeests and zebras. You will later have your breakfast and return to the lodge for relaxation getting ready for your flight the following day. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at Mara Leisure Tented camp.

Day 15: Masai Mara to Nairobi.
After breakfast you will drive to Nairobi and arrive Nairobi at around noon. Lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant and drop off at the airport to board your flight.
