Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Start you day with breakfast and after, meet our driver guide who will transfer you from Kampala to Kibale National Park which is in western Uganda. You will take the Kampala-Mubende-Fort Portal route to Kibale National Park which is 4-5 hours’ drive. Arrive at Kibale National Park early enough and check in at your safari lodge of choice for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and nature walk

Enjoy your breakfast early in the morning and after, join other visitors at Kanyanchu Visitor Center for briefing on the set chimpanzee tracking guidelines. At 8:00am after the briefing, you can opt to start your adventure from visitor center or be driven to point where you can begin looking for these creatures. This may take you about 2-4 hours and a maximum of one hour is given to you to strike your imaginations with these lovely creatures, take pictures and explore their behaviors. Along the way, you will also come across other primates, colorful butterflies, birds and unique floral species. Return to your lodge after the magical encounter and enjoy your lunch. In the afternoon, you will have a guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary where you will catch a glimpse at variety of primates, bird species and other mammals.

Day 3: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today, your day will begin with breakfast and after, you will check out from the lodge in Kibale National Park ready to embark on 2-3 hours’ drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive early enough and enjoy lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, you will embark on a boat cruise along Kazinga Channel which will reward you with astonishing sights at hippos, basking crocodiles, water birds and many other wildlife species at the water banks.

Day 4: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

Get up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast at your preferred lodge. After, you will be driven via Kasenyi track on game drive which gets you a chance to look out for the African bush elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, antelopes, birds and also enjoy the breathtaking sceneries, landscape in this particular part of the park. The game drive will last about 2-3 hours and it is best done in a luxurious 4×4 safari vehicle. You will be accompanied by guide and after, you will drive back to have lunch and rest. In the afternoon, you will sum up the day with thrilling boat trip along Kazinga channel. A boat trip on Kazinga channel will reward you with amazing sight at hippos, crocodiles, water birds including pelicans, shoebill stork, fish eagles, kingfishers and others. This water sport goes for about 2-3 hours and after, you will return to the lodge to have dinner and night stay.
