Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Meet our company representative after your early morning breakfast and then you drive to Kibale National Park which is found in western Uganda about 4-5 hours’ drive. You will drive via Kampala-Mubende-Fort Portal route to Kibale National Park. You will make a stopover along the way for lunch. After, proceed to Kibale Forest National Park a home to 13 distinct primate species.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Get up early in the morning to enjoy your breakfast and after, you will gather at Kanyanchu visitor for briefing which starts at 7:00am. At 8:00am, you will start the actual trek to see chimpanzees in the jungles of Kibale National Park. While on chimpanzee trek, you will also come across other primates including black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, red colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys and others; bird. Once you come across chimpanzees, you will have one hour of magical encounter and then you get back to the lodge to check out and be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park about 3 hours’ drive.

You will be assigned to one gorilla family to track in a group of 8 people and one park ranger guide will accompany you. A trek to view these large apes can last you about 2-6 hours depending on your speed of hiking, nature of habitat and location of gorillas. A maximum of one hour is given to you to have a face to face encounter them, take their pictures and learn how they behave.
