Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kigali Airport and transfer to Volcanoes National Park

On arrival you will be picked boy our local guide who will drive you northwest of Rwanda to Volcanoes National park where golden monkeys are found in the Virunga Mountains. The drive normally takes 2 hours but may take more time as you make stop overs on your way. Enjoy the countryside of Rwanda as you view the rolling hills of this small country and proceed to Volcanoes arriving in the evening hours. Dinner and overnight stay at Muhabura Hotel/Kinigi guest house(Budget), Lebambou Gorilla Lodge (mid-range) or silverback lodge (luxury)

Day 2: Golden Monkey Tracking

You will have your breakfast very early in the morning and drive off to the park headquarters for briefing before you hit the jungle to track these shy creatures in the forest. Golden monkey tracking begins early and may take you 2 to 4 hours in the forest and that time includes the one hour of face to face encounter with them. Unlike the Gorillas, golden monkeys are playful and more interactive as they jump from tree to tree, you will later go for a community walk to interact with the local people to learn more about their daily lives. Return to the lodge later for dinner and overnight at Muhabura Hotel/Kinigi guest house (Budget), Lebambou Gorilla Lodge (mid-range) or silverback lodge (luxury)

Day 3:Kigali to Bwindi forest National Park

In the morning after breakfast you will drive through Kigali for a short city tour as you bid farewell to Rwanda and proceed to Bwindi either through Chanoka border or Gatuna. You will arrive in the evening hours and check in at Silverback Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking –Bwindi

Breakfast will be served very early in the morning at your lodge and you will set off and head to the park headquarters for briefing on Gorilla tracking procedures. The actual trekking begins at 8:00am with a group of only 8 people led by UWA officials into the forest. Tracking may sometimes be difficult depending on your level of fitness so you must be well prepared for this amazing jungle experience. You will have one hour of contact with the gorillas taking pictures and studying their behavior. You will later return to the parkheadquarters and go for a community walk to interact with the local people to see their way of life especially the pygmies’ community.

Day 5: Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National park

You will drive to queen Elizabeth National Park through Ishasha sector where you have chances of spotting the tree climbing lions. Check in to the lodge for lunch and little relaxation. Later on go for lion tracking and evening game drive for amazing game viewing venture. Dinner and overnight at Park View Safari Lodge(B-L-D)

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park

A rather early cup of tea or coffee, with your packed breakfast we head to the Uganda Kobs mating ground. Look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat. Afternoon boat cruise along Kazinga Channel, a natural channel that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. There is vibrant wildlife species here like elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores. Dinner and overnight at Park view Safari Lodge(B-L-D)

Day 7: Drive to Kampala for a flight to Nairobi Kenya

Early in the morning after breakfast drive to Kampala with a stopover at Igongo cultural center for lunch enroute and to study about the Ankole culture. You will continue to Kampala and have another stopover at the equator and proceed to Entebbe for your flight to Nairobi. Our local guide in Kenya will be ready waiting to transfer you to the hotel in Nairobi for dinner and overnight stay at

Day 8: Nairobi to Masai Mara

You will be picked from your hotel and be transferred to Masai Mara Game Reservevia the view-point of the Great Rift Valley and Narok town for lunch. After lunch leave Narok and drive to the reserve arriving in the afternoon, Check in and relax for a few minutes go for an afternoon game drive as you look out for game like the Zebras, Masai Giraffes, wildebeests, Elands, spotted hyenas and several other mammals. Dinner and overnight at Mara springs safari Camp.

Day 9: Masai Mara Full day

After breakfast you will go for a full day of game viewing within the reserve. Thehere is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills is the best landscape you will want to see. The reserve is the best game viewingspot with an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, look out for hippos and crocodile here. Continue with game drive till late evening and go for visit to the Maasai village which is optional. Dinner and overnight at Mara springs safari camp.

Day 10: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru

Early morning pre-breakfast game drive when most animals are most active. After breakfast, drive from the Mara region for Nakuru, lunch enroute, with scenic views of Mt. Longmont, Lake Naivasha, and Lake Elementaita from afar on the main highway. You will arrive in Nakuru town later in the evening. Dinner and overnight are at Miale Hotel near Nakuru.

Day 11: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast you will have a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park, known for its abundant bird-life especially flamingos. This park is a sanctuary for the preservation of the white rhino and other rare species like Cape buffalo and Waterbuck can be seen near the shorelineenjoy a delicious lunch and drive to Naivasha. You will take a boat ride in this fresh water lake to go and see hippos and fish eagles at extra cost (optional). Dinner and overnight atLake Naivasha Sopa, Naivasha Simba resort (luxury), Naivasha Crescent camp(mid-range) or Naivasha Kongoni Lodge(budget).

Day 12:Lake Naivasha to Nairobi

Drive back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. Drop back to Nairobi hotel or Airport.
