Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:  Pick up from Hotel – Transfer to Kibale national park
From your hotel facility at Kigali city, meet your driver guide for briefing before you kick start your 6-7 hours journey. The first destination to visit will be Nyungwe Forest National Park. Located in the Southern Province of Rwanda and holds 13 huge primates including grey-cheeked mangabeys, olive baboons, l’hoest monkeys, blue monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, Dent’s mona monkeys, Angola colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, and others.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking – visit Bigodi swamp
After breakfast be ready for a drive from your hotel to the Kibale national park head office where you will have a briefing with the rest of the other tourists will be waiting for briefing to start off for chimpanzee tracking. Chimpanzee tracking takes you through thick forests, you will also come across other primates including red colobus monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, red tailed monkeys forest elephants and others. You will watch chimpanzee from up in the trees as thy feed and play from branches.

After tracking, you drive back to the lodge for lunch and after take park in a community visit to Bigodi eco swamp. Later have dinner and overnight at

Kibale forest camp, Turaco treetops, Aramaga safari lodge

Day 3: Kibale – Bwindi national park
Set off at leisure to Bwindi national park – This is a long drive of 5 – 6 hours depending on which region of Bwindi for gorilla trekking

Day 4: Gorilla trekking
After a hefty breakfast, get to Bwindi park office with your guide for briefing about gorilla trekking rules and regulations. Next the park official will assign you a gorilla family and by 8, you will be off from for actual search for mountain gorillas. Expect to take at least 2-6 hours navigating through the bamboo and rainforest in Volcanoes Park in search of a habituated gorilla family.

On locating a family of these large apes, you will have a maximum of 1 hour for up close and personal with them, take photos and return to the lodge for relaxation. In the afternoon, you will be part of thrilling cultural experience in Batwa pygmies tour

Day 5: Transfer to lake Bunyonyi for canoeing
Set off at leisure from your Bwindi hotel and drive to lake Lake Bunyonyi – one of Uganda’s most beautiful lakes. You will set off for island canoeing and exploring the different islands and learning their history.

Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi overland for budget, lake Bunyonyi rock lodge, Acadia cottages lake Bunyonyi.

Day 6: Kigali to Arusha
Set off from Kigali airport for Arusha. Arrive early, meet your Tanzania guide for pick up and transfer to the pre-booked hotel.

Day 7: Arusha- Serengeti by road
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and after, begin your journey to Serengeti, home to iconic wildlife including wildebeest, rhinos, elephants, and most popular for its endless plains. Serengeti is situated within the Northern tourism circuit, and getting there is about 6-7 hours’ drive.

Day 8: Game viewing safari
A full day (comprehensive trip) is dedicated for you to have the best of Serengeti NP. The morning and afternoon game viewing excursion allows you look out for diverse wildlife species including waterbucks, elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, rhinos, zebras, wildebeest, and bird species. Being a full day excursion, lunch break will be made and you proceed with the afternoon session.

Day 9: Serengeti-Ngorongoro Crater
Transfer from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s natural wonders and home to abundant wildlife. En-route, you stand a chance to branch off at the Olduvai Gorge –a place where early man’s skulls were discovered by Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey. After, you will be proceeding to the lodge in Ngorongoro Crater/Conservation Area. Late in the afternoon, begin exploring Ngorongoro Crater and its wonders.

Day 10: Game drive and depart
Start your morning with a hefty breakfast and after, embark on an unforgettable game drive to see diversity of wildlife species that survive within Ngorongoro Crater. This crater is home to all big five game plus several other mammals, birds which you will encounter. After, exit the conservancy area and return to Arusha.
