Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to hotel in Kampala

Get a warm welcome from our company representative who will drive you from Entebbe to your hotel of choice in Kampala. Relax, dine and spend a night at Humura Resort/Protea Hotel Kampala.

Day 2: White water rafting in Jinja

Get up early in the morning to enjoy your breakfast and after, start your road trip to the source of the Nile at Jinja. Drive via Mabira Forest and also enjoy the beautiful extensive sugarcane plantations. Arrive at the source of the early enough and embark on your white water rafting adventure for whole day. After, get back to the hotel for relaxation, dinner and night stay.

Day 3: Travel to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Today, you will enjoy your cup of tea or coffee and later, drive from Jinja through Kampala to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. While here, you will embark on rhino tracking in the afternoon and after, get to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Amuka Safari Lodge

Day 4: Connect to Murchison Falls National Park

After an early morning breakfast, you will drive from Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to Murchison Falls National Park a home to one of the world’s most powerful waterfalls-Murchison Falls, big game and several savanna dwellers. In the evening, you will have a sunset game drive where you will spot out variety of wildlife species and after, get back to the lodge to rest, dine and spend a night.

Day 5: Game drive and launch trip at Murchison Falls National Park

Get up early in the morning to enjoy breakfast and after, meet your driver guide and embark on morning game drive. You will be joined by park guide and on a game drive, you will look out for giraffes, buffaloes, warthogs, bush elephants, lions, leopards, birds, antelopes and many others. After the 2-3 hours’ game drive, return to the lodge to enjoy your lunch, rest and then embark on afternoon launch trip to the bottom of the falls. This will reward you with astonishing sights at hippos, crocodiles, water birds and many other wildlife species. Boat cruise here will last you about 2-3 hours and after, you will get back on boat or take hike to the top of the falls and meet the driver guide who will drive you back to the lodge.

Day 6: Travel to Kibale National Park

After an early morning breakfast, you will be picked by driver guide ready to embark on journey to Kibale National Park a home to 13 primate species. En-route, enjoy the breathtaking landscape of area including escarpment. Arrive early enough to check in at the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Chimpanzee habituation experience

Enjoy your breakfast and after, you join other visitors at Kanyanchu visitor center to be briefed on the set guidelines for chimpanzee habituation experience. This will take you the whole day of following chimpanzees in order to make them get used to human presence. You will be accompanied by trackers, conservationist and along the way, you will also come across other primates including the red colobus monkeys, bush babies baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys, vervet monkeys and many others as well as bird species.

Day 8: Crater Lake walk and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Enjoy breakfast early in the morning and after, you will embark on hike to the Crater Lakes. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful sceneries of the tea and banana plantations, meet locals and later, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 9: Game drive and launch cruise

After an early morning breakfast, you will embark on morning game drive to catch up with early morning risers and predators. Expect to see elephants, bushbucks, Kobs, jackals, warthogs, birds, buffaloes, lions, leopards, hyenas and many others. Your game drive will take you via Kasenyi track and will last for 2-3 hours in a good and comfortable 4 wheel drive safari vehicle. In the afternoon after lunch, you have launch cruise via Kazinga Channel which will get you amazing sight at hippos, crocodiles and water birds. It will last for about 2-3 hours and after, you get back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay

Day 10: Drive to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park

Enjoy your breakfast early in the morning and after, drive to Ishasha sector where tree climbing lions are found. You will be at Enjojo Lodge for lunch and then later, embark on sunset game drive in the evening to see tree climbing lions and many other savanna dwellers including elephants, buffaloes and birds.

Day 11: Game drives and drive to Bwindi National Park

Day 12: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Early morning breakfast at your lodge and after, you will gather at your respective trailhead in Bwindi National Park for briefing on the set rules and regulations for gorilla trekking. With your bottled water and packed lunch ready, you will kick off with your primate adventure by 8:00am after you have been assigned to one gorilla family to track in a group of 8 visitors and park ranger guide will accompany you. This adventure will last for 2-6 hours and also includes one hour of face to face encounter and exploring their behaviors. In the evening, you will visit the Batwa community for cultural tour and later get back to your lodge for dinner and night stay.

Day 13: Second gorilla trekking

Today after your breakfast, still you will gather at trailhead for briefing on safety measures for gorilla trekking with your packed lunch and bottled water. However, you can choose to track a different family today or the previous one.

Day 14: Drive to Mgahinga National Park

Enjoy your cup of tea or coffee and after, drive to Mgahinga National Park for hiking adventure. You will hike through Gahinga Volcano which gets you the breathtaking sceneries, landscape and also opportunity to spot out variety of wildlife and birds. After, drive to Traveler’s Rest for dinner and night stay.

Day 15: Golden monkey tracking

After an early morning breakfast, you will gather Ntebeko for briefing on guidelines for golden monkey tracking and after start you adventure. Along the way, you will come across other creatures including different bird species. Dine and spend a night at Travelers Rest.

Day 16: Connect to Lake Bunyonyi

Today, you will drive from Kisoro after your cup of tea or coffee to Lake Bunyonyi. In the afternoon, you have a canoe ride to one of its 29 islands while also enjoying the amazing bird sights.

Day 17: Morning walk and drive to Lake Mburo National Park

After an early morning breakfast, you will have a guided nature walk around Lake Bunyonyi prior embarking on a journey to Lake Mburo National Park. You will have lunch in Mbarara at Agip Hotel

Day 18: Morning game drives and launch trip at Lake Mburo National Park

In the afternoon after lunch, you will embark on launch trip along Lake Mburo where you will see hippos, crocodiles and water birds.

Day 21: Bird watching at Mabamba Wetlands

Enjoy your breakfast and later, set off for bird watching at Mabamba wetland which is set on the shores of Lake Victoria. While here, you will have a chance to spot out the shoebill storks on a canoe ride.
